Drinking Beer

large20photos_alcohol

  • Kartika-drank-beer story has put Malaysia in a spotlight about enforcement of Shariah laws in Malaysia. She is sentenced with 6 lashes, RM 5000 fine and/or 3 years imprisonment.
  • The are some issues that can be brought up such as corporal punishments. Is corporal punishment still relevant at this civilized age?
  • Human rights group and ultra-feminists seem to condemn corporal punishments to Kartika. I think they are not clever. (more…)

Sarawak food

Sarawak has plenty of specialties, and one of them is the food. Malaysians love food… Heck, Malaysians are united by food. If there’s anything that 1Malaysia is good for, it’s good for the Malaysian food. Anything else, I don’t know.

Here are some food that you should taste once you are in Sarawak… Some food may look the same or have the same name but some stalls or restaurants are better than the others. So, you must have insider information on which one is good and which one is disgusting. Here are the foods you can’t get in the Peninsula…

Oh Nua Bereheng!

Spelunking at Wind and Fairy caves

The next trip I went was spelunking, or exploring caves in Borneo… They were Fairy Cave and Wind Cave. Of course it’s not as big as Mulu which is as large as 16 football fields, but nevertheless spelunking in those caves were awesome!

1- wind cave

First trip was Wind cave, which is located near Bau, a 30-minute drive away from Kuching… Admission fee for this cave is RM3 per person. (more…)

Sarawak Cultural Village

Sarawak Cultural Village, located in Santubong is a must-see place for those who visit Kuching. It portrays the rich cultural diversity of various tribes to one single place; their villages and houses, their costumes and customs, their people, their food and their cultural dances.
