I am upset that my baby sister’s MRSM (Maktab Rendah Sains MARA) does not allow the use of mobile phone in the school. Although this decision might come from the top ministry level, I’ll have to say that I am very disappointed with such close-minded decision. 10 years ago I was admitted in MRSM as well, mobile phones were prohibited. And 10 years till now, the same ban on mobile phone use is never lifted. The parents can’t know how their children are doing. How sad is that?
It is so sad that the reasoning for mobile phone ban in school also is not so reasonable:
There are millions of argument why mobile phone should be prohibited in school, but this senator came up with this lousy one! Well, I bet this senator is the one doing that. His mind is too dirty… Cepat bertaubatla senator!~
I don’t get it. If they fear the mobile phone would interrupt learning process, then make a damn guideline. No phone in class, no for teachers, no for students. If interrupting the learning process is such a big problem, maybe we can start banning mobile phones in universities as well.
Public phones in MRSM are much worse than the Malaysian politicians’ assh*les combined. They seldom work, and even if they do, they’re always occupied. And if they’re not occupied, those unlucky students got no coins. What if something urgent came up e.g. MRSM students on holiday traveling back to their homes and suddenly the bus broke down and stranded out of nowhere with no public phone. Or got beaten up by some hooligans and need to call friends or ambulance to the rescue?
I guess the MRSM and the ministry want to wait for litigation against them in case something really fucked up happened to these children and all that they need to save the day is one damn mobile phone!
Maybe Maktab Rendah Sains MARA should drop the “Sains” part since they are against science and technology so much.
